Gymnastics Classes

We have something for everyone

Gymnasts are given an introduction on how to use gymnastics apparatus such as floor, vault & trampet skills, bars as well as beam skills. For example, gymnasts will learn various types of vaults, such as the squat & straddle on, squat through, and eventually work towards to the more advanced handspring vault. On the floor, gymnasts learn all the essential gymnastics skills, such as forward roll, backward rolls, cartwheels, handstand and as they advance they move toward to advanced skills as such as handsprings, back handsprings etc.The classes start with fun musical warm-ups that get the blood pumping and contains exercises that help increase flexibility, strength and stamina.

Gyminis (4.5-6years)

Our Gyminis program is the perfect first step for young kids who are ready for a more independent structured class. 

 

Classes are designed to keep your child moving and engaged. We explore the fundamental shapes & positions needed to perform gymnastics correctly & safely (such as the straddle, straight shape, plank) in fun, lively warm-up activities & games. Each week we develop essential skills on 2-3 apparatus circuits (vault, bars, beam and floor, trampet skills). Children develop important physical, cognitive and social skills through the medium of gymnastics.

  • Suits children who are at Kindergarten or kindergarten ready and have some experience in a school setting.

  • Classes are 45mins.

Skills Include: Forward rolls, backward rolls down wedge, handstands, cartwheels, various jumps, walks on beam, shapes & positions, weight on hands, balances, creative dance, balances

Gymnastics 2 (7-9years)

In our Gymnastics 2 program, gymnasts are taught the fundamental skills on gymnastics apparatus such as floor, vault, trampet, bars and beam. 

For example, gymnasts will learn various types of vaults, such as the straddle on, squat through, and eventually work towards to the more advanced handspring vault. On the floor, gymnasts learn all the basic gymnastics skills, such as forward roll, backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands. Carefully designed skills stations allow them to progress in a systematic way so they are able to move toward more advanced skills safely.

The classes start with fun musical warm-ups that get the blood pumping and contains exercises that help increase flexibility, strength and stamina.

  • Suits gymnasts of all abilities. 

  • Classes are 55mins

Skills Include: forward rolls, rolls to straddle backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels on both sides, bridges, kick-overs hurdle step, balances, headstands, round-off, trampet work, beam skills.

Gymnastics 3 (10 plus)

In our Gymnastics 3 program, gymnasts are taught fundamental & higher skills on gymnastics apparatus such as the floor, vault, trampet, bars and beam. 

Warm-ups include flexibility work, bridges, walkover skills as well as important conditioning & drills that help master higher skills. For example, we work on handstands lines, that will lead to well executed handsprings. We emphasise a progressive approach to more advanced skills so they are able to preform them with confidence and safety.

If there are different levels in the group we alway give modifications to up the level or easier breakdowns of a particular skill so gymnasts are able to progress at their own pace. We encourage a team spirit & camaraderie  within the training sessions.

Skills Include: forward rolls, handstand roll, backward rolls, handstands,  cartwheels, one-handed cartwheels, bridges, tick-tocks, walkovers, hurdle step, round-offs, handspring preps, aerial preps

Advanced Tumblers

Our tumbling class is designed for gymnasts who have already mastered their core skills and are ready to take their abilities to the next level. With a primary focus on tumbling, we guide our students towards advanced techniques such as round-off back handsprings, saltos, aerials, dive rolls, and more.

Through carefully designed drills and technique stations, we ensure that gymnasts learn and master these skills safely and correctly. Our  8m air track and Tumble Trak  provides ample opportunities for gymnasts to practice and refine their tumbling abilities.

  • Class duration: 1 hour and 10 minutes.

  • For the Wednesday 7pm class, the minimum requirement is to attend two sessions per week for maximum progress

  • The Monday  Advanced Tumblers at 7pm are not required to attend two sessions

  • Eligibility: Must have a solid foundation in Handstands,  rounds-off, tick-tocks, walk-overs, and dive cartwheels.

  • Trial session: New students must undergo a trial before acceptance into the class

Skills Include: Front handspring, backhandspring, walkovers, round-off, saltos, aerials, handspring vault, round offs, front & back-handsprings

Boys Gymnastics

Our boys' program focuses on tumbling, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for active boys to learn and thrive. They will learn safety techniques and preparation skills needed to master skills such as salto and handsprings, utilizing specialized equipment like the air track, tumble track and air barrels. Alongside tumbling, they will also develop essential gymnastics skills including rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridges, balances, and levers. Our program promotes coordination, body awareness, strength, flexibility, and work ethic in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

 

  • Boys aged 8+years

  • All levels

  • Classes are 55mins

Skills: rolls, cartwheels, handstands, jumps, strength skills,  various vaults

Higher level skills: Hand springs, round-off, saltos, various vaults. Focus is on good technique.
